Shenzhen is one of the jewels of China's booming economic drive. Its a very
green city with lots of planting and a general easy going feel in and around the
hustle and bustle of a busy city.
Places to visit would include:
- Window of The World Theme Park
- China Folk Culture Village theme park
- For shopping, I'd head to the Luo Hu Commercial Centre for the cheaper
things and to the MIXc shopping centre for the more up marekt items.

- Alenha Brazilian Restaurant,

This is a brazilian style (i.e. come and give you cuts of skewered cuts of
meat non stop till you give up). Very tasty generally but the meats are all
mainstream (beef, lamb, chicken, sausages etc). (May 2007)
- Corriander,

This Thai restaurant in the hotel is very good... if a little spicy for me
personally. (May 2007)

Great hotel with wonderful rooms all based on a Spanish theme (lots of Bulls
images & staff dressed in old spanish style... not too sure about the
doormens knicker-bockers but there you go). Rooms very nicely kitted out and
thought through. Proximity to the Windows of the World exhibition an added
bonus. (May
